Managing an event / 2.1
Event overview & sales chart
The Overview tab is the answer to “how is this event doing?” — your headline numbers, a chart of ticket sales over time, and the fighter leaderboard. Everything you edit lives in other tabs.
What’s on the Overview tab
- Headline tiles — revenue, what’s owed or settled, tickets sold, PPV buys, and check-ins. Revenue and settlement figures are only shown to the promotion owner and SHWDWN admins.
- Quick actions — jump to ticket sales, check-ins, and payouts.
- Ticket sales over time — the bar chart, covered below.
- Fighter sales — how many tickets each fighter’s referral link has sold.
Event details (title, date, poster, description) moved to their own Details tab — see Editing your event.
Reading the sales chart
Each bar is a period of time and its height is the number of tickets sold in that period. Bars are stacked and coloured so you can see what sold, not just how much. Hover (or tab to) any bar and the exact breakdown appears above the chart.
- Day / Week / Month — switch the grouping. Weeks run Monday to Sunday; months are calendar months.
- Date range — optional. Leave both boxes empty to see everything from the first sale to the most recent. Set either one, or both, to zoom in on a push or a promo week. Clear resets it.
- Colours — one per ticket tier, in the legend above the chart. A tier keeps the same colour whatever you filter to, so narrowing the dates never repaints the chart. If you have more than eight tiers, the rest are grouped as “Other tiers”.
- Quiet days still show — a day with no sales renders as an empty slot rather than being skipped, so the timeline isn’t squashed and a slow week looks like a slow week.
The chart counts paid tickets only. Free ticket claims are excluded, which keeps it consistent with the “Tickets sold” tile above it.
Fighter sales vs everyone else
SHWDWN onlyPress Fighter sales above the chart and the same bars re-colour into two: tickets sold through a fighter’s referral link, and everything else. It answers “how much of this is the card selling itself?” at a glance, which a per-tier stack can’t.
Press it again to go back to ticket-tier colours. The button only appears on SHWDWN (combat) events — SHWUP events have no fighters to attribute sales to. For per-fighter numbers, use the Fighter sales list further down the Overview tab, and see Setting up fighter payouts.
No sales yet?
Until the first ticket sells, the Overview tab shows you the three things that actually start sales instead of an empty chart:
- Add tickets — nothing can sell without a tier and a price. Creating tickets
- Add fighters — opens the Fight card on the Fighters view, where Invite fighters lives. Every fighter gets a referral link. Adding fighters
- Edit event details — the poster, date and description are what people decide on. Editing your event
Once tickets start moving, these drop to a quiet row of links at the bottom of the tab — still there, just out of the way.
