Recordings & replays
Every livestream you run on SHWDWN is recorded automatically. Once the stream ends we process each recording, link it to your event, and make it available in your dashboard — no manual upload needed.
Where to find them
- On the web: Dashboard → Livestreams (next to Promotions). Pick the event to open the player.
- In the mobile app: open the promoter portal and tap the Streams tab. Select an event to watch and download.
- You can also jump straight there from the Streaming tab on any event — a "recordings" card appears at the top of the tab as soon as the first recording is ready.
Why there might be more than one
A single event often produces more than one recording. If your encoder disconnects and reconnects — for example a flaky Wi-Fi drop or swapping cameras mid-show — each connection becomes its own clip. They're all grouped under the same event and listed in the order they were recorded.
Tap or click any item in the list on the right (or in the collapsible list on mobile) to swap what's playing. The currently-selected recording is always shown at the top so you can see what you're watching at a glance.
Downloading a recording
Each row has its own download button. Because the source video is held in our hosting provider, we have to prepare a downloadable MP4 before you can save it — the button walks you through that:
- Prepare — tap it once. In the background we generate an MP4 copy of the clip. You don't need to wait on this screen — you'll see a small progress banner and you can keep working.
- Download — once preparation finishes the button turns green. Tap it to actually save the file. On mobile the file streams into the app and then opens your share sheet automatically.
- Open — on mobile the share sheet lets you send the clip straight to CapCut, Photos, Instagram, Files, Messages, or any other app that accepts video. On the web you get a straight MP4 download.
Preparation is a one-time thing per recording. Once it's done you can download or re-share as many times as you want without waiting again.
Heads up — 90-day window. Recordings are kept online for 90 days after your event, then automatically deleted. You'll see an Available until date on each recording so you can plan ahead. Download anything you want to keep long-term before it expires — once it's gone we can't recover it.
Good to know
- Recordings stay available on the Streaming tab even after the event is marked Completed or Cancelled — only the stream controls are disabled, not the replay.
- Processing usually takes a minute or two per minute of footage. Short rounds are ready almost immediately; a two-hour event might take a little while. We'll keep the row labelled Processing and refresh when it's done.
- The public livestream replay for your fans is a separate thing and isn't released automatically — you're always in control of which clips are published.
