Vetri Tamil Boxing takes its first show to The Lighthouse

Vetri Tamil Boxing signs with SHWDWN and puts its debut card on sale: VETRI LONDON Season 1, Tamil white collar boxing at The Lighthouse on 3 October 2026.

Key facts

Vetri Tamil Boxing is a Tamil white collar boxing promotion running its first event, VETRI LONDON — Season 1, on Saturday 3 October 2026 at The Lighthouse Theatre, 262-274 Camberwell Road, London SE5 0AY. The promotion’s stated mission is to give the Tamil community a platform to learn and compete in boxing, under the motto “Courage. Culture. Victory.”

The card is a white collar show: the fighters are drawn from Vetri’s own programme and are completing an eight-week fight camp ahead of the event. The fight card had not been announced at the time of publication.

Tickets are sold through SHWDWN on shwdwn.co and in the SHWDWN app. Prices are £40 for the Fight Night Floor, £45 for Upper Deck balcony seating, £600 for a Contender table package seating ten, and £800 for a Championship ringside table package seating ten. Car parking is available as a checkout add-on.

Vetri Tamil Boxing uses SHWDWN for ticketing and fighter attribution, which credits each ticket sale to the fighter who drove it. The Lighthouse Theatre previously hosted Zumi Fight House League 6.0 in July 2026, also ticketed and streamed on SHWDWN.

Vetri Tamil Boxing is the newest promoter on SHWDWN, and they have not started quietly. Their first show, VETRI LONDON — Season 1, lands on Saturday 3 October 2026 at The Lighthouse Theatre in Camberwell, and tickets are on sale now.

Vetri — victory, in Tamil — was set up as an international movement to give the Tamil community a way into boxing, on the argument that Tamil athletes are underrepresented in professional sport and too many give up before they find out how far they could have gone. Courage, culture, victory is the line on the wall. A public fight night in a London theatre is what that looks like when it stops being a mission statement.

Who are Vetri Tamil Boxing?

Vetri run boxing programmes for the Tamil community and describe themselves as an international movement rather than a single-city promotion — you can read their full mission on vetritamilboxing.com. The training side has been running for a while. VETRI LONDON — Season 1 is the point at which it goes public, in front of a paying crowd, with the promotion running its own night end to end. They partnered with SHWDWN at the start of August to ticket it.

White collar boxing, eight weeks in camp

This is white collar boxing, and the fighters on the card are in camp right now — eight weeks of it, most of them heading for their first time through the ropes. That is the whole appeal of the format. Nobody on this bill was flown in for the night. They are Vetri’s own, trained up from scratch, and every one of them will walk out in front of a room full of people who know exactly what it took to get there.

The Lighthouse Theatre, Camberwell

The venue is a statement in itself. The Lighthouse Theatre, at 262-274 Camberwell Road, is not a starter room — in July, Zumi Fight House put more than a thousand people in it for League 6.0, ticketed and streamed on SHWDWN. Vetri have taken the same room for a debut.

Tickets for VETRI LONDON — Season 1

Tickets start at £40 on the Fight Night Floor and £45 for Upper Deck seating on the balcony, with table packages for ten above that: £600 for a Contender table behind the ringside rows, £800 for a Championship table on the edge of the ring, drinks included in both. Parking is offered alongside the ticket at checkout, so nobody spends the first twenty minutes of the night circling Camberwell Road looking for a space. Everything sells through the event page and the SHWDWN app.

Every ticket traced to the fighter who sold it

Vetri run ticketing and fighter attribution through SHWDWN. Every ticket is traced back to the fighter who brought the buyer, automatically, from the moment it sells. On a first show that matters twice over: the fighters can watch their own numbers move in the app while they are still in camp, and Vetri can see which part of the card is actually selling long before the doors open — rather than finding out on the night.

Tickets for VETRI LONDON — Season 1 are live now. Follow Vetri Tamil Boxing in the SHWDWN app to be notified when the fight card is announced.
