CRDED x SHWDWN: fighter sponsorship, without the cold DMs

SHWDWN fighters can now get a CRDED card — a professional profile built to put them in front of sponsors, gyms and promoters — without filling in a single form.

Key facts

SHWDWN has partnered with CRDED, a professional network for fighters, so that fighters with a SHWDWN profile can create a CRDED card without re-entering their details.

A CRDED card is a public fighter profile — record, discipline, level and highlights — used by sponsors, gyms and promoters to find fighters to back and book. CRDED was founded by Angel Driscoll and has not launched publicly yet.

The hand-off is opt-in. SHWDWN sends four fields — name, email, sport and level — only when a fighter confirms it on the consent screen in the SHWDWN app.

Ask a white-collar, unlicensed or amateur fighter how they would go about getting a sponsor and most will describe the same thing: messaging local businesses on Instagram and hoping. There is no shortage of brands who would back a fighter. There has just never been anywhere for a brand to look.

SHWDWN has partnered with CRDED to change that, and from today a fighter with a SHWDWN profile can get a CRDED card without filling in a single form.

What is CRDED?

CRDED is a professional network built only for fighters. Your card holds your record, your discipline, your level and your highlights on a page anyone can open without an account — the thing you send a brand instead of a paragraph about yourself. Sponsors, gyms and promoters use it to find who to back and who to book.

The comparison the team use is a LinkedIn for fighters, and it is a fair one. Combat sports has never had a professional profile layer. A footballer has a club page and a transfer record; a fighter has a name, a nickname and whatever they last posted.

One thing to be straight about: **CRDED has not launched publicly yet.** You can set your card up now and it will be ready the day they go live, but nobody is browsing those cards today. We will tell fighters when that changes.

Who is behind CRDED?

CRDED is Angel Driscoll’s company, and she is 19.

She fought herself, which is the part that shows in the product. The gap she is building into is one she was on the wrong side of: fighters doing the work, carrying the following, and having nowhere to point a brand that might want to back them. She left a corporate job to build it rather than waiting for somebody else to.

The mission she puts on it is short enough to be held to — get fighters seen, connected and paid. You can follow CRDED on Instagram, which is where launch news lands first.

How do fighters get sponsored?

Honestly, most do not. Not through any lack of appeal — a fighter walking out in front of a sold-out room with a few thousand people watching the stream is a genuinely good place to put a logo — but because the two sides never meet. The fighter has no profile to send. The brand has no list to browse. The sponsorship that would have worked never gets as far as a conversation.

A card fixes the first half of that. It gives a fighter something to send that answers the questions a sponsor actually asks — who are you, what do you fight, at what level, how does it look — in a form that takes ten seconds to read rather than a DM thread to piece together.

What it means for fighters on SHWDWN

It costs nothing and takes two taps. Your name, discipline and level carry across from your SHWDWN profile, so the card that would have been an evening of typing is already built by the time you land on it. All that is left is a password.

What happens after that is not a hand-off. We are working with CRDED on sponsorship for SHWDWN fighters, not just pointing you at them and stepping back.

And if you never set a CRDED card up, nothing changes on our side. Getting our fighters in front of people who will pay to back them is something we work on either way. CRDED is a route to that — a good one, and the one we would point you at first — but it is not a condition of us doing our job.

What it means for SHWDWN

We judge ourselves on one thing: whether a fighter earns more for being on SHWDWN than they would without it. There are two ways to move that number. Get them on cards, in front of a paying room. And get them paid for who they are outside the ring.

The first is what the platform already does. Working with CRDED is us going after the second, because sponsorship is the money most fighters at this level never see.

How to set up your CRDED card

Open the fighter portal in the SHWDWN app and the CRDED card sits on your home screen. Tapping it explains what CRDED is, shows you exactly what would be sent, and asks for the two things we do not already hold — your sport and your level. Confirm, and you land on CRDED with everything filled in.

On your data: nothing is shared unless you tap to send it, and what goes is four fields — your name, email, sport and level — shown to you in full beforehand. There is no bulk export and no default; every fighter decides for themselves, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

If you fight on SHWDWN, the card is on your fighter home screen now. If you have not got a fighter profile yet, start here.
